Kambo sessions/ceremonies

Each ceremony will be unique to the individuals participating, but a typical ceremony starts with a brief consultation and discussion of your goals/intentions for receiving the Kambo session.  We will choose the location to place the gates (burns), which is typically the lower leg or upper arm if it is your first time receiving Kambo.  Then there is an prayer to open the ceremony space, followed by the opportunity to experience other Amazonian plant medicines, rapeh/hape and sananga.  Next, the burn gates will be made and you will drink approximately 1.5-2 liters of water within 15 minutes time.  The secretions is then applied.  While the Kambo is taking effect, the experience is accompanied by one or all of these: singing, drumming, rattling, musical instruments, other accompanying music, smudging of sage, palo santo, mapacho tobacco, and encouraging words.  After the process is complete you will have some time to rest and there will be a closing prayer.  The length of time can vary, but is typically 1 and 1/2 to 2 and 1/2 hours.

Private sessions are currently being offered, which has the benefit of focusing 100% on the individual client.  If you are interested in a group session, please let me know and we can help with arranging a circle for you.

Basic Treatment

This treatment is for first time kambo clients (and returning clients) which is intended to help find the appropriate dosage and is applied to the upper arm (traditionally used for men) or lower leg (traditionally used for women).

Chakra Treatment

Kambo points applied to one or more of the bodies seven energy centers.  This is often chosen when there is believed to be a "blockage" in the flow of the energetic system.

Acupuncture Meridian Treatment

Meridians are internal energy pathways running through the body and they energetically connect the body's organs and subsystems. Kambo can be applied to specific meridian points to address specific health concerns.

Auricular Treatment

The ear is said to be a microcosm of the body and has its own unique acupuncture network. Multiple areas of the body can be addressed through applying Kambo to the ear only.

Vaccine Treatments

This is a popular method of receiving Kambo 3x in a 28 day course (moon cycle).  This is traditional to the Caboclo tribe of Brazil. Kambo is often referred to as the "vaccine of the forest" due to immunity enhancing and modulating properties.

• No food for at least 8 hours before the Kambo session (fasting is a must)
• No liquids for at least 2 hours before the Kambo session
• No caffeine the day of the Kambo ceremony

Things to bring to your session:

• 1 gallon of water (not distilled or alkalized)
• yoga mat
• cushion to sit on the floor
• blanket/pillow
• wear comfortable clothing (sometimes layering is good)
• bring a change of clothes (accidents do happen sometimes)
• bring some fruit or a light snack for after your session
